In 2022 founder Pete combined his passion for classical woodworking with his affinity for modern technology, namely his laser cutter. The result was to create a 3D map of Chicago for his father's Christmas present. After overwhelming positive feedback from friends, he decided to turn his process into a business and Walden Maps was created.
